Q: Has BIAB™ been reformulated?
Yes.
During 2025, we began transitioning some BIAB™ shades to an updated TPO & HEMA-free formulation as part of our longer-term regulatory planning and product development strategy. Original formula stock is available while supplies last and will be back in stock over the coming weeks. Please follow the link here to check which BIAB formula you have.

Original BIAB™ is currently being replenished and will be available again in the coming
weeks.

Q: Why were you moving to a TPO & HEMA-free formula?
The removal of TPO was made in response to evolving regulatory requirements.
The removal of HEMA formed part of our broader ingredient review and long-term strategy. As the transition began, we received strong feedback from professionals who rely on the Original BIAB™ performance and consistency. We have listened carefully and acted accordingly.

Q: Why did you remove HEMA?
When upcoming regulatory changes required us to remove TPO from our formulas, we used that moment to review our system more broadly.

We chose to evolve certain formulas to be HEMA-free. HEMA remains a widely used, compliant and effective ingredient within professional nail systems. Our decision to evolve was driven by a commitment to choice, not a reaction to fear. Only following extensive and successful research and testing was this revised formula released. Whether you are using our Original or HEMA-Free BIAB™, both are professionally validated, fully compliant, and held to the highest standards of nail health.

We know that some professionals actively prefer HEMA-free systems whilst others prefer to continue working with the HEMA-based formulas they know and trust. Both are valid, which is why our Original BIAB formula remains available for those who want it.

We understand that any formula change can feel unsettling, especially when your reputation and client trust are on the line. Our commitment remains the same: consistent performance, transparency, and long-term product development — not reactive shifts.

Q: Is the Original BIAB™ discontinued?
No. While we had begun transitioning shades to the updated formula, the Original HEMA-inclusive BIAB™ is being reintroduced and will remain part of our range.

We recognise that consistency is critical for many professionals, and we are committed to maintaining that.

Q: Are both formulas safe?
Yes. Both the Original and TPO & HEMA-free formulas meet all relevant cosmetic compliance standards and are safe for professional use.

Q: Why wasn’t this communicated clearly at the time?
The transition to the updated formula occurred gradually rather than as a formal relaunch. We recognise that clearer communication would have been helpful —particularly given how widely BIAB™ is relied upon within the professional community. We have now updated our website to ensure full transparency moving forward.

Q: When will Original BIAB™ be back in stock?
Replenishment stock of the Original HEMA-inclusive BIAB™ formula is expected within
the coming weeks. Product pages will clearly indicate formula type to avoid confusion during this period.

Q: How do I know which formula I’m purchasing?
Each product page will clearly state whether the shade is:
• Original BIAB™
• BIAB™ TPO & HEMA-Free

If you are uncertain about a recently purchased product, please check our page here.

Q: Are further formula changes planned?
Due to UK regulatory changes coming into effect in January 2027, we are continuing
research and development to ensure long-term compliance while maintaining professional performance standards. Any future updates will be clearly communicated.

Q: What about the research you mentioned?

As a company we are always working behind the scenes on formulation, testing, research and innovation to future-proof what we create. We are currently undertaking multiple research studies to ensure the performance & standard of our products is never compromised and is always industry leading.
